The track is open at no cost for joggers and walkers except during paid admission events such as high school football games, high school soccer games, and track meets.
The field is open at no cost for general public use except when scheduled field events are taking place such as, but not limited to, soccer games and soccer practices.
Organized events and practices of any kind must be scheduled through Shoreline Schools Athletic Office. Rental rates vary depending on time of day and resident/non-resident status of the using organization.
Examples of general public use of field:
- a small number of adult or youth players playing ball without referees
or coaches
- a parent and child (children) playing ball together.
Examples of organized practices:
- a coach and players, especially if field equipment (cones etc) is used
for drill situations.
The rational for the policy is that the district is put in a liability situation if an injury occurs during a practice situation. If you are questioned about your presence at the field, be courteous.
