Scheduling Referees
FC Shoreline home game referees work to a schedule provided to them by the SYSA Scheduler
(Phoebe Russell). If you need to reschedule a home game, be sure to
reschedule through the SYSA Scheduler so that the referees are properly notified of the reschedule.
Practice Games
If you are scheduling a practice game; referees are often able to be scheduled
through the Seattle Soccer Refs scheduler (one of whom, Cathy Echert, may be
reached at caki1@comcast.net). This is
great practice for our referees, especially newer referees who will gain valuable
experience outside of regular season matches.
Referee Clinic:
Coaches - please encourage
your players and parents to join the pool of referees serving our local soccer
community. There are a number of referee clinics scheduled every year,
covering the range of new referee clinics to continuing education clinics for
experienced referees. See this link for a current list of clinics: Referee Clinics

Effective September 1, 2007 the new Rule 605 Disciplinary Rule will go
into effect. If you receive disciplinary action as a result of a Red
card/send-off or coach ejection, you will have to serve the penalty even if
you submit a formal appeal. Read the whole story on this WSYSA
